There are such unusual and picturesque places on our planet that you are amazed viewing them in photos. It seems that some artist depicted unrealistic, made-up paradises. There is so much unearthly beauty, charm, attractiveness in them that I want to see all this magnificence with my own eyes. National parks in various parts of our immense planet, which nature has created, and people protect, are the unique masterpieces of stunning beauty.
• Iguazu Park (border between Argentina and Brazil). This reserve was founded in 1934 with the aim to preserve magnificent waterfalls on the Iguazu River, and there are about two hundred and seventy. The park is located along the river and covers an area of over 67,000 hectares. The largest waterfall in this park has the mystical name “Devil’s Throat” and is the border between Brazil and Argentina. Iguazu Falls in 2011 were recognized as one of the unique natural wonders of the world.
Between the numerous waterfalls are the islands, which are interconnected by bridges. Tourists from different parts of the world come to see the magnificent waterfalls with their own eyes; therefore, the tourist infrastructure is well developed in Iguaçu Park (hotels, excursions, appropriate communication routes, etc.).
• Grand Canyon (Arizona, USA).
For thousands of years, the Colorado River has impacted this area, and as a result, the Grand Canyon was formed, which has a length of about 450 kilometers and is one of the deepest gorges on the planet. The depth of the canyon is about 1600 meters, the width at the bottom is about one kilometer, and at the plateau level it is from 6 to 29 kilometers. In this unique place, looking at the thickness of limestone, sandstone and shale, you can see the history of the geological transformation of the Earth for a half billion years. This national park is famous for its unforgettable desert landscapes and fantastic forms of formations. Here is one of the most stunning viewing platforms in the world. Every year about two million tourists come to admire the beauty and splendor of the huge canyon. In addition to the magnificence of the gorge, you can admire from the observation deck, you can still take a walk over the Grand Canyon by helicopter and enjoy the beautiful views and the extraordinary landscape.
• Ashikaga Park (Japan). A real extravaganza is played out at the time when the wisteria is blooming. These are climbing trees with inflorescences that hang down and have an unusual sweetish aroma. This park contains various types of wisteria and other flowers. There are built entire tunnels of flowering plants (for example, from white wisteria – “The Road of Happiness”, etc.). In order to fully enjoy the beauty of blooming wisteria, this park should be visited from the beginning of April to the end of May. Some plants in the park “Ashikaga” more than a hundred years, so the park workers are very careful to ensure that the support on which grow wisteria, were strong, reliable and did not fall under the weight of heavy inflorescences.
In addition to wisteria, one can still see flowering plums (in February-March), after them spring flowers bloom (tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, and others). In April and May, besides wisteria, azaleas and rhododendrons bloom here. And in May-June, luxurious roses delight the eyes of visitors to the park.
