“Desert white sands”
The desert of white sands is probably the most unusual desert in the world. Unusual as its color and material. White expanses look like snow dunes, but in reality it is plaster. Animals and plants that have adapted to life here are few. The total area of the desert is about 280 kilometers. The desert is visited by many tourists, a proposal was made to include it on the UNESCO World Heritage List, but this is not possible due to military bases located nearby.
The Circus of Trees is a unique collection of tree sculptures, the fruit of the efforts of the founder of the park, Axel Erlandson. It all began in 1947, when gardener Erlandson began experimenting with sprouts — tying and braiding them in bizarre forms — he created 74 such sculptures in his entire life. After his death, the trees were not courted, many of them died. But in 1984, the Circus Trees found a second life and now the sight of tourists is pleased with thirty plane trees of unusual shapes: heart, basket, telephone booth, spirals, etc. Now “Circus Trees” is called Gilroy Gardens and is located near San Francisco. The park includes attractions, gardens, museums, and in a special area you can have a picnic.
The red, orange, yellow, terracotta and brown colors of the rocky rocks of Bryce Canyon are an incredible sight, especially at sunrise and sunset. The erosion of the winds has created truly cosmic outlines of the rocks. Bryce Canyon is often visited with the Grand Canyon and Zion Canyon. Tourists here are waiting for the various viewing platforms, horseback riding, hiking and skiing and snowmobiles.
Karhenge is a kind of American parody of the English Stonehenge. The sculptural group is a 38 old cars, arranged in a circle like the stone Stonehenge. For more realistic cars painted in gray, resembling the color of the stone. This object is officially called the “automobile art reserve”, and other sculptural groups are located nearby.
Lake of morning glory
The existence of this lake is hard to believe – it looks so fantastic. This is a small thermal source of azure color, the bottom of which was littered by tourists with coins, which led to an imbalance of heat balance and the formation of microorganisms at the edge of the source, which formed its yellow color. The lake tends to change color sometimes to purple or green, to boil or explode like a geyser. Millions of tourists come to see this natural wonder every year.
