“Desert white sands”
The desert of white sands is probably the most unusual desert in the world. Unusual as its color and material. White expanses look like snow dunes, but in reality it is plaster. Animals and plants that have adapted to life here are few. The total area of the desert is about 280 kilometers. The desert is visited by many tourists, a proposal was made to include it on the UNESCO World Heritage List, but this is not possible due to military bases located nearby. Continue reading
Monument Valley
Monument Valley is a nature reserve park of the United States, the landscape of which is one of America’s business cards. The valley is a plateau of red earth with elevated rocks of bizarre forms – many of them even have their own names. On the territory of the park there is a Navajo reservation. From the observation deck offers a stunning view of the valley. The valley served as a film set for many American westerns and commercials for cowboy themes. Continue reading
